Starbucks No Smoking Policy

After giving us a buzz on their "Starbucks Hour -50% on any Frappucino" which seems to be a discount vouchers offer. Here's another one with their "no smoking policy" on all Starbucks outlets, effective June 27, 2011.

This is in compliance to Republic Act 9211 (Tobacco Regulation Act of 2003) and the smoking prohibitions of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and all local ordinances and issuances as bases for the new drive being re-enforced by Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

I salute and congratulate the Starbucks management for joining this campaign, for they don't care if this will have a negative impact on their business. Actually, they have nothing to worry because not all of their customers are smokers.

Quoting this from HUMANOID "Simple lang solution. Gawa sila ng Special Room para lang sa mga Smokers. Tapos Sealed tight lahat para walang lumabas na usok. Para ang mga usok ng yosi nila ay umikot lang sa mga baga nila ^_^."

- That's the same thing I have in mind whenever I passed by on smokers who don't seem to care to people around them, especially those who smoke while walking or seating beside the jeepney driver.
